Ranked choice + a blockchain based voting system = very large progress potential… Imagine a voting system where every qualified voter gets a wallet pre-loaded with a special coin to "spend" per race/vote/issue…~100% realtime count/audit-able, 100% impossible to double spend, 100% secure…various ways of handling complete or partial anonymity… Throw in HARD term limits for all congressional seats (3 terms house, 2 terms Senate) and key appointed positions (e.g. Supreme court 10 years), and equal representation & voting power for new democratically elected Federal Reserve Board members (e.g., one people’s member for each of the 7 appointed members – and 5 year term limits for both) and we’d really be moving in the right direction.

Reminds me of an essay I wrote 30 years ago: "Digital cash is in some ways an extreme example of digital property — since it cannot be copied, it is possessed by one entity at a time, and it is static and non-perishable. If the techniques for protecting against pilferage and piracy work in the domain of cash, then they can be used to protect other properties…
