Here are a couple recent videos of living embryonic development they acquire with one-of-a-kind custom-made optical instruments (aka, an adaptive multi-view multi-color lightsheet microscope). Best viewed fullscreen:

The videos show developing fish embryos 3D-scanned every 30 seconds. They then process and analyze the images to try to reverse-engineer how organisms are built from a single cell to millions of self-organizing cells, perhaps one of the greatest mysteries of life.
