Savage Savors Schirra’s Sigma-7 Shingle

Adam Savage loved the flown logo shingle from the Mercury Sigma 7 spacecraft that carried astronaut Wally Schirra around the Earth six times in 1962, painted with the mission emblem by Cece Bibby. He wanted to hold the superalloy and feel how light and thin it was.

He is also on the board of the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum.
