George H.W. Bush and *his* Cufflinks

I won them a bit by accident in an auction of Presidential memorabilia, and wore them to help pitch MDMA-assisted therapy for veterans to the Republican Congress… and then I see this huge portrait of Bush Senior, wearing cuffs as he always did.

We were in the core of the Republican social network at the Capitol Hill Club. They have portraits of their famous Republican Presidents in prominent places as you enter the dining room, with Lincoln, Reagan and Roosevelt at center stage. I noted with a chuckle that there were two portraits off on their own, in the back corner by the kitchen — Nixon and Trump.
