   This is what peridot looks like on Earth, made deep in our mantledetailsWhite LED backlighting: Shot with Canon 5D Mk IV DSLR + 100mm Macro Zoom lens. What might those dark grey circles be that are in the middle of some of the top crystals?

   thank you! for sharing terrestrial world-forming pallasite meteorite with the Earth Science Teaching Resource group.

   A pallasite meteorite in-hand illustrates Earth’s origin. Dense iron-nickel formed the Earth’s core and less dense magnesium-iron silicates et al (peridot, in this case) formed Earth’s peridotite mantle.
