The opening ceremonies for their new HQ, where I have loaned a number of thematic space artifacts for display, from the first Apollo fuel cell to the deep-space networking gear used for Apollo and the Viking landers, the first spacecraft to successfully land on Mars, and appropriately, to test for extraterrestrial life on the surface.
SETI seeks to answer fundamental questions like, are we alone in the universe? So, in my brief remarks, I offered that SETI is βapplied philosophyβ.
