etched to show the beautiful Widmänstatten pattern of the iron metal with superb translucent olivine crystals that give this piece the appearance of stained glass.

Christies: The Admire meteorite was found in Lyon County Kansas in 1881 by farmers plowing their fields. Admire is known for its large and often gem-quality olivine crystals known as peridot, which is the August birthstone. This visually stunning slice pleasantly displays large elongated gemmy olivine clusters set in a nickel-rich iron metal, a trait that has been found in only one piece of the Admire meteorite. Slices from the same stone that gave this exact specimen are exhibited in museums around the world.
