We took a demo of the latest Magic Leap headsets for augmented reality.

They have a wider field of view than the others (e.g., Microsoft HoloLens 2) by incorporating 32 lenses and some imprint nano-lithography gradients to trick the eye.

But, as with every demo I have done, in my opinion, it is not a comfortable experience anyone would seek to prolong unless they had to.

  2. Many technologies in these glasses/wearables…how long before the convergence of miniaturization, visual resolution, weight, etc. = the same overall ease/comfort in prolonged use as a pair of "Steve Jobs-style" (ultra-minimalist) reading glasses? My bet is 5 years+ and DJI has a better shot of making the first mass-use product (for drone pilots) than anyone.
