Weekend are made for space artifact research, and boy do I have some backlog to work through! Here:
1) Mars just keeps throwing rocks at us. I am not saying it is right, but I know where they are coming from. One of the newest finds, my whole stone from Mars just got published in the Met.Bull
2) Lunar Loo — The bathroom may seem like a strange place to display one’s prized documents, but it is nice and chilly and devoid of UV light that might damage the artifacts and signatures.
3) Flown to the Moon and then driven in the longest Lunar Rover ride, the Apollo 17 LRV maps to Shorty Crater, discovery site of the “orange soil” that freaked everyone out.
4) Sun Compass for walking back to the LM if the rover died. Yeah, a simple paper solution where magnetic compass navigation is not possible (no magnetic field lines to follow).
5) Gemini XII photographic exposure dial used by Buzz Aldrin and James Lovell.
