We spent the weekend at Balls, a big experimental rocket launch event in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada – the same place where Burning Man takes place.
The majority of the rockets are experimental, where rocketeers mix their own solid propellant. About 1/3 of the launches don’t go as planned, well, that is part of the fun!
