Mysteries of a Metal World

ASU is prime for the Psyche Mission to a metal world. They have no idea what it looks like up close and they wonder if the craters have frozen metal lips from impactors. I am going to share the natural experiment I have at work — a Russian space station tank that de-orbited into Argentina, and it is riddled with frozen-splash craters from micrometeorites over the years in orbit (see below).
