DRAGON FIRE 🔥
Here are my photos from our weekend at Cape Canaveral to witness the SpaceX launch of four astronauts to the space station.
We took a pad tour before launch, to see Dragon perched up in her lair at Pad 39A. Then we visited the SpaceX hanger with the DM-2 booster; we were also at the Cape to see that flight back in May, and she has already flown two more times, and is getting ready to fly again, to bring a second cargo Dragon to the ISS party in December.
We went to the NASA OSB II building for a pre-flight briefing with the NASA Administrator and other astronauts in training for future flights.
It was Luna’s first launch, and quite a nice 🚀 candle for her first birthday 🎂 and my son’s 21st, both this week.
Update: 28 hours later, Dragon docked to the ISS for a 6 month stay.
