I especially remember that blind crest before the corkscrew (minute 1:00 of the Tesla video: https://youtu.be/Vj4JZxv6mY4?t=54) where you just aim at the treetop. It sure made me pucker up. The track pros add to the tension by telling us about the car that went straight and landed in the tree!

This 1999 photo is from race training with the all-manual Formula F4 with a couple of my partners at the Laguna Seca racetrack. Over the three days, I spun off the track several times, and it felt like being in a washing machine… earning me the moniker “spin-master Steve”.
