Rebuilding the Apollo Command Module at work. Even though I acquired them separately, I was delighted to hear the Rotation and Translation Hand Controllers click into place, having been separated since 1969. These hand controllers are like a pitch-yaw-roll joystick for the positioning of the spacecraft for docking and alignment for SPS-engine burns to the moon and back. Sitting in the left couch, Cmdr Neil Armstrong would have his hand on the left translation controller during the Saturn V’s launch, and a counterclockwise twist of that handle triggers the mission abort, firing the solid rocket motors up in the red nose-tip tower to lift the Command Module up and away from whatever mayhem might be happening below. http://tinyurl.com/FVspace
