The Vegas motto made manifest with The Boring Company, Vegas Means Business:
“Latest Updates: Elon Musk’s Underground Transportation System Construction Continues.
Construction continues beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) campus for Elon Musk’s innovative underground transportation system, symbolizing the strength and resiliency of the destination. The Tunnel Boring Machine has since been extracted, and station 2 excavation, buildout and design in the Silver Lot continues. Station locations will be the far West corner of the new West Hall, the Southeast corner of the Silver Lot under sawtooth parking area and the Red Lot. The West Hall expansion, now 88% complete, and the Convention Center Loop, are scheduled to debut to the public in January 2021 and are part of the destination’s investment in bringing fun and groundbreaking transportation solutions to the meetings and conventions industry.
The Convention Center Loop
The $52.5 million underground transportation system will include three passenger stations connecting the existing 3.2 million square-feet of convention space with the convention center’s new expansion of the West Hall, adding an additional 600,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. The system will allow convention attendees to be whisked across the sprawling campus in just over one minute, free of charge, in all-electric Tesla vehicles.”
