Scenes from the SpaceX and NASA briefing for #LaunchAmerica this morning, and the plan to launch astronauts later this month on an American rocket… for the first time since 2011.
The NASA Administrator said that SpaceX could take crew all the way to the lunar surface, a notable admission. He also commended SpaceX’s turnaround of the trade export of commercial launch, where the U.S. now has 70% of the global market, versus 0% in 2012.
They also shared new Crew-1 capsule and crew training shots and a new in-flight escape video β highlighted by NASA as one of the reasons Crew Dragon is much safer than the Space Shuttle: https://youtu.be/DJ70N5HahDU
“Have no doubt about it: I am looking forward to the launch. It will be historic and momentous.
