The inner wall of the memorial in Tallinn is a list of those lost from deportation to Siberian labor camps… (in a sobering scroll of names, like the Vietnam memorial in Washington). On my father’s side of the family, only one person survived Siberia. Here is the list of fallen Jürvetsons.

One response to “The Jurvetsons that Died in Siberia”

  1. The idea of this type of memorial may be inspired form the one for Vietnam, but for sure the list must be way longer – the one for Vietnam holds some 50,000 names, while in the Gulags tens of millions of people have died!
