Old Town Tallinn

Taking a tour of old town with our intrepid guide, Uve Poom (who used to be a roommate of my mom while at Stanford).

Tallinn is a lovely old town with 14th-Century wealth from the Hanseatic trading league. The nearby church was the tallest building in the world for 75 years, but they had not figured out the technology of lighting rods, so it is not as tall on the third rebuilding after lighting strikes.
