YELLOW Dopamine
• Curious / Energetic: Inquisitive, many interests, brims with energy and enthusiasm. Optimistic, flexible and easily adapts to changing circumstances.
• Inventive / Future-Oriented: Excited by the new and unknown, enjoys ideating and looks for opportunities to innovate. Future-oriented and willing to take larger risks.
RED Testosterone (I don’t associate with the label.. but these subtypes capture me well)
• Systems Thinking: Intrigued by the detailed processes, functions, under- lying rules and features of a system. That system could be a complex machine, technology, numerical equation or data points that are used to draw conclusions and inform decisions.
• Tough-Minded / Direct: Tough-minded, competitive and results-oriented. Dives straight into a conflict or debate and says exactly what he or she means.
GREEN Estrogen/Oxytocin
• Contemplative / Contextual: Notices surrounding context, connections and relationships. May reflect repeatedly on situations with a desire to learn, grow and connect based on their experiences.
• Empathetic / Inclusive: Caring and sensitive to people’s needs with a desire to involve and include others. Diplomatic, intuitive and good at reading body language.
BLUE Serotonin
• Cautious / Measured: Likes, needs and feels most comfortable with the known, familiar and the security of established procedures. Takes a cautious, respectful and measured approach to people and situations.
• Concrete / Structured: Takes a practical approach, prefers to discuss concrete facts rather than hypotheticals. Likes to be prepared, calm and organized and enjoys the consistency of routine.
