Pilat finishing her painting of my Apollo 15 Lunar Module umbilical cord.

A profile on her just came out.

And here are details on the Apollo 15 drama with this cord and her awesome new painting.

The name, from Pilat: “Dymaxion, in tribute to Buckminster Fuller. I’ve been thinking about the title for a while and really wanted to capture that essence of optimism in space exploration combined with humility for our role as custodians of Earth. Buckminister left an awesome legacy, so many great thoughts but best one in our context, his most powerful quote: There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth, only co-pilots. He named his many innovative designs dymaxions.”
