Apollo 12 Astronaut Alan Bean, may he rest in peace.
My fondest memory of Al Bean was the care and attention he took in writing a tribute to the SpaceX team for this birthday gift I assembled for Elon and SpaceX. He was effusive in his praise of SpaceX and the next generation of space explorers. He spent 20 minutes writing rough drafts and crafting each word of his message with the SpaceX team in mind.
