Some new Space Race artifacts, just in time for the dinner banquet talk I am giving on Friday at LDRS on space artifact collecting:
1) a full Apollo Command Module couch from 1968
2) the Gemini launch control clock, and
3) Mercury astronaut Wally Shirra’s Hasselblad camera, the first used in space in 1962

LDRS stands for Large Dangerous Rocket Ships. So perfect. It is an annual gathering of rocketeers from around the U.S., and this year is hosted by Tripoli Central California. I have several airframes ready to fly, and my son and I will be participating in a drag-race of converted Crayon piggy banks. Here are writeups on the first third of the space collection, before it got out of control: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jurvetson/sets/72157623704246792/
