Dan Gibson from Synthetic Genomics, inventor of Gibson Assembly (see enthusiast video if unfamiliar with his breakthrough). He culminated his TED Talk with the idea that biologics (vaccines and protein therapies from Earth and life-forms discovered on Mars) could be beamed between the planets as data and instantiated as functional lifeforms on the receiving side (much cheaper to beam the data than the bits). It a form of biological teleportation that works today.

“The characteristics and functions of all biological entities including viruses and living cells are written into the code of DNA, They can be reconstructed in a distant location if we can read and write the sequence of that DNA code.”
