    I dunno if that association with a pachydermatous bone stack would really be perceived as a compliment by a lady…
    ( Is your message to her that "Bony is only skin deep" ? 😉

    Shall I compare thee to that skeleton?
    Thou art more lively and more delicate:

    Passing time sheds the tender flesh and hair,
    And mammoth’s lease had all too short a date:

    Sometime in kitsch this sculptor shines
    And often is the gold complexion plated;

    And every fur from woolly sometime declines,
    By chance, or nature’s changing course, untrimm’d;

    But thy eternal glitter shall not fade
    Nor lose possession of that frame thou hast;

    Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
    When as gilded bones to time thou grow’st;

    So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
    So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

  3. The complement is so passive…. this is pure poetry, unchained from the gilded cage

  4. and we just saw with fur in BCSomething Mammoth at the Royal BC Museum
