Touring the robotics and AI lab at the Univ of Edinburgh this morning. The Rethink robots deduce which parts to provide to the human worker by tracking the gaze of the human. The PR2 brings distant parts via voice dialog. The humanoid Valkyrie was built by NASA and the Edinburgh team is studying path planning of the hands and haptic feedback (and visual pre-conditioning) for a better grasp.
