By Zonds! The Soviets wanted to fly humans around the moon — just like SpaceX today — but they suffered a string of catastrophic failures. Ultimately, only the tortoises survived their flight around the moon and ballistic reentry into the Indian Ocean. Exactly 50 years later, I installed a couple artifacts from this lunar flyby program, the hatch handle from the living module and the engine controller for their giant Proton-K rocket (photo below)
