Kicking off the Bain Worldwide Partner’s Meeting this morning.
It was an incredible homecoming for me to see all 700 partners from 54 offices across the globe. Bain was my first business experience (my prior jobs were design engineering), and George Cogan was my mentor and coach. Boy, does he have stories. =)
Several of the partners from the SF office remembered my cubicle that pushed the sartorial limits sporting a fish tank with the feeder fish (for the voracious predator in the tank) named after our case team members.
On the way out, I met the partner who first read my resume 26 years ago and brought me in for an interview.
Thank you Bain & Co. You allowed me to learn from great mentors, and transition my career; almost everything that followed leveraged my Bain experience in some way.
