Three autonomous vehicles performed beautifully today: Dragon capsule, Booster, & Drone ship.

When SpaceX HQ witnessed the landing of the booster, I have never heard cheering like this for anything in my life.

    A big win but I don’t get the attraction of landing at sea? How often are conditions this perfect? Keep it simple, and land on terra firma.

    Landing at sea means they can carry less fuel. Makes delivering payloads at some high orbits AND reusing the booster viable.
