Wow, it’s hard for me to fathom 50 million views of my photos,
but this is what I found on my flickr stats today.
I started using flickr as part of the due diligence process for their first venture round (they sold to Yahoo instead). But I was hooked. I was new to photography at the time, and all I had was a Casio pocket camera. I focused on what it can do best (close-up macro photography) and what I could share (geeky subjects and rocket launches). For Christmas 2005, I got my first SLR camera (Canon 5D), and I expanded a bit… but it was still mostly geeky stuff and rockets.
