We toured mission control with the Sentinel Mission. Four satellites will fly in formation to study the ropes of magnetic reconnection. This process occurs throughout the universe where magnetic fields connect and disconnect with an explosive release of energy, creating a space weather event that can interrupt GPS, communications, and the electric power grid.
