This large rig bumps the satellite to simulate the bumps of the rocket launch. While enormous, it can be lifted on a bed of air, and moved to different locations like a hovercraft.

With Erik, my rocket buddy and fellow Sentinel Mission fan. I am holding my new gift, a Shuttle horn.

The vibration testing room has a subwoofer connected to a 100,000 watt liquid-cooled amplifier. You can’t be in the room during the tests as it will liquify your internal organs. So, I suggested they probably have never had a rat problem in the building.

I’d love to cue up the opening riff from AC/DC Back in Black. Or Disaster Area, the lethal heavy metal band from HHGTTG…
