After many years of TED, this is the first time I have seen a standing ovation for a new product introduction. So proud to see other people’s reactions for the first time. The TED Talk just went online

And Planet Labs launched their Planet Explorers program today for developers who want to build apps that take advantage of raster scanning the entire Earth every day. He ends with the question: What would you do?

So far: 71 satellites launched and a new hardware design every six weeks.

“We’re on spaceship Earth. It’s fragile and finite — and we need to take care of it. Yes, it’s beautiful, but it’s outdated. The information is old. We can’t fix what we can’t see.”

  2. Hi Steve – I am featuring this image on my website here: http://www.goodspeakconsulting.com. I have added the photo credit at the bottom of the page as there is currently no way to add it just below the header image on Squarespace. I will update this as soon as it is available. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! – Norman
