Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics, taught me to fly his latest drone (video), and he took an overhead scan of our building to create a quick 3D model.
This happened just as the FAA approved the first commercial drone use, for Hollywood filming, but they required the operators to be licensed commercial pilots. Not me.
