This cave shows evidence of human occupation since the early archaic period (7-9K years ago), the basket weaver (2K ya) and the Pueblo III (1K ya).

Pollen samples show that as recently as 2,000 years ago, the region was covered with pinion pines and juniper forest… So very different today.

    In my eyes, very well composed with that little piece of blue sky…… and the colors. Wow beautiful. Got the big guy (5D) out.

    Classic purple fringe in the lower left. Great example to show how well the tool works to remove it. Printing makes this kind of chromatic aberration really noticeable. This is not specular but focal I think, maybe a bit of both given the sun intensity, which is more interesting.

    Could also come from the auto-registration for the HDR merge in Photomatix. All of the HDR photos I took this year were by hand (no tripod), so each of the three frames is off by a few pixels…
