It seemed too perfect to connect Ed Lu (co-founder of B612 Foundation to protect Earth from Meteorite strikes) and Greg Hupé (meteorite hunter who has gone to Morocco 35 times). Both of them are passionate about the search for asteroids that will or have hit Earth respectively.

So I gave them tourbillon watches with slices of the oldest discovered meteorite set as the watch face.

“It’s from Muonionalusta” I say.

And then Greg lights up, and tells us that he has discovered some of the largest masses in this glacial melt in Sweden, using a waist-harness oval metal detector of his own design!
