  1. Ignition… HD rocketcam is duct-taped to the top of the red section:

The motor on the right is slow to come up to pressure…

Once off the 6′ rail, the net force pushes it over (the top photo on this page).

Meanwhile, the onboard computer detected the movement of launch, and triggered the
ignition of the large central red long burning motor

A quarter-second later, the tapering fin motors on the left are offset by the late burning right side,
so it does a bit of a corrective turn

    The airplane must suspect a SAM… =)

Coming down, with the dual parachute events triggered by computer, but tangled for the first time

Here is the video compilation of the rocket cam, pad cam, my son as tracking station, and some of my DSLR stills.

  2. Oh crud, I just realized that flickr is messed up again. So people can’t see the photo pages! Is there any way to override that to see the sequence?

  3. I just saw that flickr is hiring a product designer… I am seriously considering applying for the job and get things back right. It’s awful. Keeps going from worse to worst. Impressive an ongoing degeneration.

Probably they won’t accept me… yet they don’t seem to understand that they don’t need someone with all the empty qualifications they ask for on the job level, but someone who really knows what flickr was/is/means/should-be. Being a flickr expert is mandatory, not just a nice plus.

    Oh well.

PD: I see pix in comments out because I opted out from the flickrless "new experience"…
