Boom!
I have honed a rocketry reflex for flinch photography. The M2080 motor over-pressured and sheared off the entire top of the aluminum case in the blink of an eye.

There were a remarkable number of engine failures at October Skies this weekend (more photos and video to come). Tom, Dick, and Erik lost all of their airframes, and all three of mine were damaged a bit (albeit from lesser mishaps easily fixed). So I was a bit wary heading into Sunday’s launch of the Sledgehammer, with the highest impulse motor of the event (more on that later).
