This is just a tiny segment of the sky, equivalent to your pinky-nail at arms length, a subject of the Kepler survey, which is like your palm at arms length.

It’s a 9 billion pixel image… “and they all probably have planets”

  1. ~21 MP downsampling 9 GP does a pretty good job 😉 ps: in 2021, even though I have a 5DSR and several Nikon Z7s, the old 5DMKII still takes great, amazing images and video. It was the "Apple Macintosh" quantum leap for digital imaging.
