About to go supersonic at LDRS 32 (Large Dangerous Rocket Ships) in the Black Rock Desert…

We just prepped our fiberglass Vertical Assault with von Kármán carbon fiber nose cone to fly on a CTI L1030 red lighting motor, HCX flight computer, and RF tracking beacon.

She pulled 20 G’s rocketing from 0 to 980 MPH in 1.85 seconds, soaring to 14,685 ft. with a perfect recovery.

    (the red blip just before landing is the shock from the secondary parachute deployment, programed to occur when the rocket falls back through 800 ft. altitude).
