   The PLA pellets melt off to the right and the liquid pumps through two molds, at right angles at the bottom of the frame here:
   
   and then the filament is drawn through the long bath described above.

   The Replicator 2 (one-head, PLA plastic) and 2X (two-head, ABS plastic) assembly begins with the print head:
   

   Final assembly… the process flow reminded me of "Chinamation" devoid of robots, so far…
   

   Final inspection, where each printer prints a particularly difficult test pattern for 15 minutes testing the alignment:
