The primary business of Norton Sales is the rental of these spare artifacts for movie props

  2. Well. Here’s another place I missed when I was in Hollywood!!

  3. There’s a market for everything!

  4. very cool, I’ll have to stop by on my next jaunt into town

  5. Talk about a niche market!

  6. You must have felt like a kid in a candy store! I would love to see these photos annotated by those who remember what all these parts belong to. Did you pick up a trinket or two to add to your own collection?

  7. Not yet, but I have my eye on a certain engine up there… and I took a close look… Photos:

It’s a Saturn V prototype from1959, which lost out to the Rocketdyne J-2 design. I am trying to ID it…

Here is a LR-101 Vernier Motor from an Atlas rocket… I have one too with detailed descriptions

And Carlos has a certain flair for displaying his wares… This is North Hollywood after all… =)

The engine on the right is an early Apollo Service Module SPS engine (the Aerojet AJ10-137), a rare bird indeed.
His asking price is $500K! (video)

This is what it looks like with the full expansion bell as it would fly on the Apollo CSM:
