   Took a stop in at Silver Oak on the way, with their iconic rain-water tower from the 1800s

   Yes, each day, the reservation opens for a future date, and people blitz the phones. I tried about eight times with a posse of callers but never got through. This reservation happened through the concierge at a hotel. Major props for that!

   Another interesting detail: they do not repeat any ingredient in the menu, and they change the menu each day.

   I have only been once before, and it took some star power to get in

   I managed to make a reservation on OpenTable. This was about 6 or 7 years ago. A once in a lifetime experience 🙂
