The “122” sticker on the far right is a tribute to Beefcake and 11 who were the most recent casualties from Squadron 122. It seems topical for Memorial Day weekend. There is also a F/A-18 inscribed with their names in the hangar.

They perished while training for an air show, flying close to the ground. Airshows are among the most dangerous peacetime activities because of the unusual requirement to fly low for the crowds.
