Sinking a Titanic Airship

I recently won a very rare artifact — a structural beam from the Hindenburg — and so I looked at some of the 75-year anniversary photo compilations of the disaster in New Jersey, and I realized that I really only had one iconic image of the airborne explosion in my memory.

The Hindenburg was the largest aircraft ever built. She was roughly the size of the Titanic, and sank from the air in a roughly similar sequence… just much more rapidly… She was gone in 60 seconds.
