Here you see the carbon fiber interstage coupler.
The triad of cutouts along the rim are for the pneumatic pushers that separate the boost stage from the upper stages of the Falcon9 rocket.

That’s a thick body… Hope they reuse it…
Carbon fiber, very strong stuff, usually worked under vacuum for air bubbles to disappear and for maximum bond and tightness of the fiber material.
