Kari Kirk was the headliner at this year’s musical soirée to benefit Family & Children Services.

Here she performs Doretta’s Aria (La Rondine,Puccini):
“Doretta improvises an ending to a song about a princess who once rejected the love of a great king. She sings: “What is wealth compared to the flourishing of love?”

Her Carmen serenade was a special surprise for me. =)

    And the stage… overhead, the ballroom ceiling is from the Palazzo Grimani in Venice. It includes a 16th-century painting, Venetian family coats of arms, a dozen embedded oil paintings, and three large wood ceilings with crests.
