Aaron Levie, CEO of Box, received the metal icon of Churchill’s iconic bowler hat, presented by a Brit no less. He flew in for this, and still sports his Olympics pin. And Geoffrey Moore on the left. (more photos below)

These were the awards that I was cheering for:

  1. Looking at the prize:

The award harkens to the bowler hat that Churchill chose as it was the only one at the time that was not meant to signify social class in British society. It became a symbol of class equality throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

I accepted the GAME CHANGER as an ambassador for SpaceX and explained that’s because everyone at the company is Hawthorne, McGregor or Cape Canaveral, and so they get the cheerleader who can effuse openly about their accomplishments…

Esther Dyson did a wonderful job as interviewer, and some of the sentiment is captured by Business Insider, but the title is completely wrong and intended for sensationalist appeal perhaps.

  2. Game Changer correct… Industrialist NO !!
It is like Forbes mag showing up to interview Elon with team of stylist !

Creating the surreal fantasy scene magazines like to do for their own benefit it seems..
I never understood it the Glitz etc… I was proud Elon told the stylist to back off…
The interviewer put it in article.. Elon’s refusal to be made into something not..
Specifically he said " You are Not going to Make some Preppy Boy of Me " !!

A WIN for Humanity !! Madison Ave get a Life !!
But this is how out of it they are Not to know industrialist are long gone of another era.
They do not Think ! Thank you for always Thinking Steve !
There is NO Going Back Now…

  3. In Huddle’s back yard…

  4. Funny, as a Brit the last thing we associate WSC with is a bowler hat. Cigar, top hat, but bowler? Generally worn by lower middle class managers in his lifetime. Google seems to show many identifying as a bowler a hat which is clearly a homburg.
