Evangelizing rocketry… It should run tomorrow at 7:30pm. But the HD video link went up today.

My favorite part: the opening clip where my son whispers excitedly to the camera… with the evidence of our powdered donut binger still on his lips!

The program includes many of our launch video clips (from RocketMavericks, LUNAR Snow Ranch, AHPRA BALLS, AeroPac XPRS and Tripoli DairyAire), including my son’s custom design with motors on each fin tip and a strap-on video cam.

  1. When the TV program mentions the influence of Apollo on STEM education and the rocketry hobbyists, here is an interesting graph I recently shared with an astronaut seeking to embark on a grand space mission that might inspire the next generation:

and whoa… I forgot that I posted a shot of the filming… with the very rocket I described above:

  4. Great production, and kudos to the high school students and their sponsor.

  5. How soothing it is to have dull neighbors who never do anything exciting. And how exciting and refreshing it is to have the odd neighbor who indulges in extreme maverick geekdom. Way to go!

  6. For our Bay Area audiences, the producer Chris Bauer’s "Rocketeers" story will air in the premiere episode of the new QUEST season on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:30 PM on KQED, Channel 9. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the story! It’s a perfect way to launch our new season!
