A work colleague, Vince Vannelli, gave me the Zombie Survival Guide for Christmas, and so, of course, my son has read it twice and has been asking if we can get some AK-47’s for our sniper nests on the roof.

Oh, we can do much better than that!

Perhaps just in time for the uprising comes the Doublestar J&T AK-47 with integrated chainsaw. It also needs the EOTech Zombie Stopper XPS2-Z Holographic Sight, which puts a biohazard symbol on lumbering targets instead of a red dot. (video tour and photo via Technabob)

Hopefully, this multi-modal weapon will appease the Zombieland purists who subscribe to Rule 9: “Guns Are for Hunting, Not for Zombie Killing: This one is simple. It’s not a proper means for killing zombies as they run out of ammo and need reloading.”

But we’ll just have to see. Spray and pray is fine, and blunt trauma is reliable. Best be prepared with both.

So, I lent my work friend my guide to surviving the robot uprising. We can compare notes.

Vince recommends the AA-12 fully-automatic shotgun, demonstrated here by a fine upstanding fellow.

  2. I would like to provide the Dushka artificial intelligence for communicating with Kalashnikov-resistant zombies, but I am too busy writing the User Manual in the zombie Nadsat language.

  3. See? This is why we need a standing army, not drones!!

  4. There is Zombie Farm available on the iDevices.

"I used to issue leaflets asking people to enlist as recruits. One of the arguments I had used was distasteful to the Commissioner: ‘Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest. If we want the Arms Act to be repealed, if we want to learn the use of arms, here is a golden opportunity. If the middle classes render voluntary help to Government in the hour of its trial, distrust will disappear, and the ban on possessing arms will be withdrawn.’ The Commissioner referred to this and said that he appreciated my presence in the conference in spite of the differences between us. And I had to justify my standpoint as courteously as I could. "

Oh, and I am reminded of Samuel Jackson’s product plug for the AK-47, "the very best there is…"

  6. Water balloons. Water balloons versus the robot uprising.

  7. Just saw this AK on another thread. Awesome! Of all the movies that I have watched and not expected much of, Zombieland is my favorite. The Walking Dead series is great, too, but somehow less funny.
