Squinting in the dark, to get the 9V battery stack aligned with the igniter wire.

The crowd drumming around the firepit were hankering for some pyro fun, and there was no way to top last year’s melting of the firepit, so I improvised with some blinking lights for a couple night flights.

I had removed one of the blinky earrings from the spool, and so it went into an unstable spiral.

And a couple fun quotes from our CEO Summit today:

‎”Welcome to Occupy Half Moon Bay. We need you. You aspire to be the 1%. …and provide jobs to those who want them.” — former AOL CEO Barry Schuler, addressing 160 startup CEOs

“I’m not sure how many of you have spoken with a football player but the conversation is not as rich as you might have hoped. The cheerleaders are our ambassadors. People enjoy talking with them.”
— Jeff York, CEO of San Francisco 49ers

Really?

  1. Don lends a helpful iPhone light, and then took the video above

This one flew straight as an arrow with a green propellant, and the blinky blue light inside made it easy to find.

Next year, we need to go back to a big propellant burn… like last year’s party:

    Dragon's Breath

    Disco Inferno

Remains of a whisky bottle infused with molten metal:
    Glass Whiskey Bottle

  2. I can do "Bump In The Night" in ways that most can only imagine. I think I have just the ticket for next year!!! 😉
